LEWIS STIEFEL has over 20 years of experience as an editor, cameraman and producer. For the past 13 years, he ha
s worked at
WCBS-TV, New York, doing promotional image spots, campaigns, topicals, sports including the Jets, Yankees, and 1996 Winter Olympics as well as entertainment promos for shows including the Grammy’s, Tony’s, and Judge Judy. His work at WCBS-TV has earned him an Emmy and a Promax Award.
Lew’s camera credits include b-roll footage for Channel 2 promos and major news stories such as 9/11, the American Airlines crash in the Rockaways and, most recently, the steam pipe explosion by Grand Central.
In 2005, PROMAX invited Lew to shoot the opening of their annual worldwide meeting held in New York.
In a partnership with WCBS and the Mayors office Lew edited and produced pitches for NYC and Company to bring the Super Bowl, Olympics and Latin Grammys to New York.
Prior to WCBS, Lew was an editor for Kingworld’s Inside Edition and American Journal shows. Additionally, he has shot, produced and edited independent projects including the documenta
ry, “Mission to Mississippi,” about a New York-based inter-faith group’s trip to hurricane-ravaged Mississippi to help in the relief effort.
The film was awarded Best Social Documentary by the prestigious New York International Independent Film and Video Festival.
Other work includes productions for Bodyrock Entertainment, Mt. Sinai Hospital, VIPSmiles , The International Karate Center, The Museum of Contemporary Art and Womens Physique World Magazine.
Lew is a graduate of NY Institute of Technology, Old Westbury.
